Role Description:
- Responsible for successful planning and implementation of assigned capital projects in order to support the Asset Owner and achieve business objectives.
- Manage external project managers, engineering teams and consultants.
- Compliance with project governance requirements.
- CM site/IS region project delivery performance – SHES, Quality, Cost, Time.
- Project team management.
- Direct reports to: Project management and engineering consultants engaged for specific projects
Requirement:
- Post graduate qualifications in project management.
- Mechanical engineer/Civil engineer with steel structure experience.
- Degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the management of capital projects in petrochemical, manufacturing or minerals processing.
- Project contract for 1 years - continuing
- NACE qualification.
- Financial qualifications/experience.
- Typical projects that need to be managed will be less than A$ 250K.
- Handling People:
- Member of a group – CM site/IS region PMO
- Member of a larger group – PMO.
- Member of function – Asset Management, Manufacturing & Supply.
Skills, Competencies and Key Accountabilities:
- Alignment and governance of project team to ensure assigned projects achieve the required business objectives.
- Lead the planning and implementation of assigned projects.
- Monitor, document and report to key stakeholders on the progress and performance of the assigned projects.
- Ensure conformance to Company SHES standards
- Ensure conformance to Company Quality standards
- Strong execution focus. Proven ability to work autonomously and lead cross-functional and multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Serve as primary point of contact for the Asset Owner and stakeholder interface for all assigned projects, developing strong relationships and managing expectations.
- Commercial acumen in the development of cost effective and robust project delivery and engineering solutions to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Management of supplier/contractual relationships.
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with emphasis on effective team work and personnel development.
- Ensure compliance with project governance processes and procedures.
- Actively participate and contribute to improvement processes within the CM site/IS region PMO team and broader PMO team.
